While Mr Cameron and Mr Brown were deeply engaged in attacking one another, Mr Clegg managed to win last night’s debate. The Liberal Democrat used alternatives to the two main political groups, to win the people and succeeded in this. Mr Cameron used stories of people he met on his campaign as examples, while Mr Brown continued to question Mr Cameron quite aggressively. In the end, Mr Clegg still won, using phrases like: “These two” and “The more they attack each other, the more they sound the same”. 61% of the votes were in Mr Clegg’s favor, along with the two other party leaders, who agreed with the man in most of his ideas.
My opinion to this, is pretty straight forward. I don’t vote, don’t see any reason for it. You can’t trust politicians, as they promise what they can’t make true, it’s as simple as that. I think it was clever of Mr Clegg to let the other two fight their old battle, while he occasionally butted in, saying all they did was argue and that so far, it didn’t help at all. The other two use their same old tactics, but so far, I think Mr Cameron did the worse of the three. Using examples of people you’ve met is not a smart debate move, as it deals with experiences, rather than facts. It makes you questionable and it won’t appeal to everyone.

Volcanic Eruptions Interferes With Going Back To School
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/apr/18/iceland-volcano-ash-travel-chaos-friday
The eruptions of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano are causing problems all over the world, as the clouds of volcanic ash make it unsafe to use airplanes. This causes a lot of people to get stuck on their holidays, as the planes will not fly them home. To make matters worse, the Easter holidays are over in England and a lot of people are stuck, so there are a lot of empty desks in the schools now.
It also does not seem that the problem is going to be over soon. Volcanologists say that the eruptions will not stop anytime soon, but the airport are starting to test if they can fly on lower altitudes, or to see if they can avoid the clouds. Even President Obama had troubles with the airports being down, as he couldn't attend to the funeral of the late Polish president.
I think the cloud of volcanic ash will bring more troubles with it, as airplanes are going to be down for quite some time now, which will result in heavy losses and probably people getting fired. It is a serious problem, as the people that are stuck in their holiday countries, can not attend to school, while the exams are coming up pretty fast now. The problem is, that there are no solutions to the volcanic eruptions and the clouds of ash they spread.
The only things that could work, is to search for alternative transport, or to attend classes online, with the airports providing computer workspaces to any students that might miss important exam theory. As for now, the only thing we can do, is wait and hope for the best and that the Eyjafjallajökull will start to become inactive again.

Discussion Topic! University of Newcastle finds a cure for inherited diseases
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7590384/DNA-breakthrough-could-eliminate-devastating-inherited-conditions.html
Back in the days, women with mitochondiral diseases had two choices, when it came to childeren; having a sick child, or no child at all. But not anymore, as the University of Newcastle has found a solution.
The idea is explained relatively simple; by transferring the DNA of a father and mother in a healthy carrying woman, the child will be born without any mitochondiral diseases. The scientists compare it to changing the batteries to a laptop, as you only get the energy from the new battery, the harddrive still contains the same data.
Even though the University has proven their theory and many people are enthusiastic about this solution, they still do not have permission to use the technology from the organizations who are in charge about gene research.
In my opinion, gene technology and anything involved, is playing God. You kind of mold a new superhuman breed, with zero flaws. Now, where did I see this again? Oh, yes, Hitler, wasn't it? The übermensch? I know that this technology is only made to get rid of certain diseases, but it's the first step to creating the exact child you want to have. And what I have heared about the project on the übermensch, is that people were against it, not only because it was created by the Nazi's, but also because it was inhumane and against many religions.
If it is just to ward out sicknesses, we will quickly become overpopulated, as the people who can not have childeren now, can have them when the technology is being used. I know having a child is wonderful, but there is always something called 'adoption'. And if you so desperately want to have a child that is yours, you just have to take the risks of having a sick child. After all, the mothers carry the gene and it runs in the family, so it will be more like the mother, in a way.
